In Summer 2020, Nalah led her first protest in Grover Beach and faced violent opposition which strengthened her commitment to local activism.
A SLO Resident, with family based in Arroyo Grande, Nalah supports R.A.C.E. Matters on programs including arts and culture festival Braiding Water (September-October 2023) and Electrification for Everyone – a 15 month-long project funded by TECH Clean California in partnership with the Diversity Coalition San Luis Obispo County, Central Coast Coalition for Undocumented Student Success and BlocPower.
Passionate about climate justice, Nalah has participated in initiatives including the California Equitable Home Electrification Program and Green Healthy Homes Roundtable, sponsored by RMI and BlocPower respectively. Loman conceptualized “My Earth Is. . .” an art show and event that spotlighted and compensated local emerging BIPOC artists and collected data for the City of San Luis Obispo’s Climate Action Plan.
A Cuesta College student and photo editor— one thing you should know about Nalah is that she's finds it imperative to create, feel, and inspire. Her favorite hobbies are any rendition of those 3 actions.

She is mother to a cat whom she proudly named after Avatar Kyoshi.
